Busch was founded in 1956 and has its headquarters in Viernheim/Hesse. The production facility for car models is located in Schönheide/Erzgebirge.
Mainly Busch produces model train accessories. Neben der Ausgestaltung von Landschaften, liegt der Schwerpunkt auf elektronischen Beleuchtungseffekten. The accessories are available for all gauges and railway systems. Furthermore, the company Busch also sells software for planning model railway layouts.
With the acquisition of the manufacturer Praline in 1994 began the production of model vehicles at Busch. Today Busch produces a series of 1:87 (H0)scale models.
The W123 has been published by Busch only as a T-model. There is once an edition in standard color and a „CMD Collection” in metallic colors. In addition, there are various special models, such as rescue and emergency vehicles.
In May 2006, the W123 appeared as a sedan in the „CMD Collection”.
